Are you eligible for Italian citizenship?
There are 4 common ways to qualify for Italian citizenship. In most cases, you don’t even need to go to Italy in order to claim your citizenship and get an Italian passport.
If your ancestors emigrated from Italy, you may have a claim to Italian citizenship jure sanguinis. Our team can help you confirm your eligibility and apply for your passport.
Italian citizenship through marriage
If you’re married to an Italian citizen for three years (or less, in many circumstances) you can apply for citizenship jure matrimonii.
Italian citizenship through residency
If you have been a legal resident in Italy for 3 to 10 years, depending on your circumstances, you may qualify to naturalize per residenza.
Italian citizenship through reacquisition
